The term Blog is a portmanteau of the words web and log; it is a form of online journal or diary with posts arranged in reverse chronological order. At a basic level it includes text, but can also include media such as pictures, podcasts and hyperlinks.
If anybody is curious to learn how Blogging fits into the scheme of things there is an interesting video below explaining how a particular school ran a pilot scheme. The ICT skills of the children shot through the roof, as did their literacy levels (in particular reading and writing).
